The COVID 19 pandemic has greatly affected Kenya. Unfortunately, due to the lack of testing, the precise number of people who have contracted the virus is not known. The Kenyan government acted quickly to impose strict measures to try to limit the spread of the virus, including restricting travel within the country and imposing a curfew.
COVID 19 has had a very negative impact on the Kenyan economy. A great many people have lost their jobs. Many people literally do not have funds even to buy food on a daily basis.
The COVID 19 pandemic has severely impacted the ability to carry out our programs. We have, however, managed to help some of the desperately needy persons in the Transmara area so that they can purchase food and basic necessities. This will benefit the young people targeted by our programs.
We very much appreciate your continuing support, and look forward to fully resuming our activities once the threat of COVID recedes.
