Since our last report, the severe impact of COVID 19 in Kenya has continued to constrain our project activity.
However, we have distributed funds to needy members of the community who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. Because many members of the community live at day to day subsistence levels, including jobs with daily wages, the loss of work due to the pandemic and rise in food prices have caused many people to lack even the most basic necessities. Many families literally do not have money to purchase food.
As a result, we will continue to disburse funds to the most needy, and that will help them survive until things start to improve.
We very much appreciate the support we continue to receive from donors. More importantly, the members of the community who benefit from our support and projects are extremely grateful.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
