At the end of each year it is impossible not to look back to reflect on the work done and the impact achieved. Undoubtedly 2017 has been a wonderful year, full of new experiences and achievements and although we know that we still have a long way to go to achieve a real inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, we are proud of the contribution we are making , thanks to those who support this cause.
25,000 children and 550 young people have benefited from “No 2 are alike” strategy workshops that were held throughout the year in 115 public and private schools in the cities of Barranquilla and Santa Marta.
In this quarter we held meetings in the localities and training days to continue strengthening families to face their personal challenges and co-responsibility in the process of inclusion of people with disabilities. We developed qualification workshops for early childhood agents, completing 160 professionals from this area trained during the year and we continue working in universities and various spaces to raise awareness about the myths.
FUNDOWN CARIBBEAN know that although it is a difficult time to raise money, people who value diversity and care about inclusion will continue to make efforts to support this cause and invite others to join us as well. Thank you very much for continuing to accompany us.
