Dear Friends

Many greetings and good wishes to you from BASS, India

Thank you so much for your kind continuous support to the project for the last 18 months. We are very happy for running the project effectively to the unfortunate children in the 5 areas in Guntur district.

We are successfully running 3 schools with 150 children in 3 locations in Guntur district. All the children are attending the schools on regular base.  We are also started mid-day meal to the children in Dasaripalem School for 70 children from December 2012. Now children are happier to come and get meal and primary education in the school. Most of the families are living in below poverty line and they are not even having three meals in a day. So many children not eat in the morning and coming to the schools. Now we are giving good lunch for the children. Thank you so much.

We wish to start other two schools from May 2013 with all your support.  Unfortunately we have stopped these schools few months back because our government is not supporting the program. So we are facing lot of difficulty to pay remunerations to the teachers and care takers.  Hence all the children in these two locations are also out of schools again which leads us very sad feeling bad and we have to restart the schools at least from June 2013 for the new academic year.

Therefore we humbly request you please share and promote this project with all your friends and family to get support.

Moreover we can cross US4000 (UK pounds 2700) in this project that this project is also can live in Global Giving USA to get more supporters. Please do support again.

With all our humble wishes

Dear Friends and the supporters!!!!!

Wishing you and your family Merry Christmas!!!!!

And let us all live together in peace, prosperity and happiness by extending space for everyone around us to complete our lives in this planet.  Christmas is the time of giving and sharing.  It is the time of loving and forgiving. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Thank you so much for your continuous support to facilitating care and education to the children in unfortunate circumstances in 3 locations in Guntur District. We also send our heartfelt wishes and gratitude to the Global Giving team for providing us the great opportunity for our project.

Currently we are running 3 schools with 150 children in 3 locations in Guntur district. Most of the out of school children are benefitting by regularly attending the schools and getting primary education with a nutrition meal. The teachers are effectively providing primary education to the children. We get good recognition in the communities.

Recently we have organised parents  and community meetings at the largest slum Swarnabhararthinagar, Guntur  with the collaberation of government of India to motivate and educate the women to send their children to the schools. This is a big success in the community as many government officers particpated in the program.

We are extremely sad for closing two schools few months back due to no support from government.  Our government is not providing support to the schools and still they have to pay the remunerations to the teachers for 8 months

We have to restart the closed 2 schools at least from May 2013 as new academic year starts.  Each school for 50 children needs £3,000 to cover all the costs for the maintenance for one year.

We wish to request you to kindly share and promote this project with all your friends and family during this Christmas festive season to get their support to effectively run the program. Please post your valuable suggestions and feed back at your convenient time.

Wishing you joyful happy Holidays!!!!!!!!

Dear Friends!

Many Greetings and good wishes to you from the BASS, India!

We are very sad to inform you that we are in difficult situation to run the project for the last three months as our government has stopped support for the schools which we are running as per their agreement and even they did not paid the staff salaries for the last  7 months.

With all our efforts we have succeed to establishes 5 education centers with all your kind initial support at the remote slums in Guntur district where children are out of schools due to unavailability of schools. Within a short period we get recognized and get support from the Government of Andhra Pradesh through Rajiv Vidaya Mission.  Initially we are very happy that the government has recognized and acknowledged our services and facilitate their support to pay the staff remunerations. But unfortunately the government has
stopped not able to extend their support from June 2012.

Therefore we are extremely in trouble and forcibly stopped two schools due to no support. But still we are engaged volunteer there to provide education to the children. Hopefully we can continue these two school also very shortly with your support.

Moreover we are not able to get sufficient supporters from the project in Global Giving even this project is exists almost 14months. And still we did not get the raised donations from the Global Giving for a long period because of fewer amounts raised sofar.

Currently we are running three schools only at Dasaripalem, Siddhartha Stone Crushers and  swarnabharathinagar slum for 150 children to provide primary education with our contributions. We don’t want to stop the schools in these locations because which are situated in remote areas and children will be lost education again if we stop.

Therefore we are humbly requesting you to kindly promote this project to many people and networks to support the children in need to continue education.

We are also very happy to inform you that our organization gets a best appreciation award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh on our National Independence day on 15th August 2012. ( only two organisations gets this award for this year include ours is one)

Thank you so much to you all because of your kind support only we are getting an opportunity to run  this project in 5 locations and which leads us to get a best award to serve children in need.

We are very happy to get your best remarks and suitable suggestions for this project to have big success.

With all our kind wishes and greetings!!!!!!!!!

Dear Friends and supporters!

Thank you so much for your kind continuous support to this project! Very kind of you and grateful to you all!

I am very glad to submit a brief report of this project. Currently we are running 5 basic education centers through this project at Sundarayya Colony, KVP Colony, Dasaripalem, Siddhartha Stone crushers and Shalom agar, Edlapadu. 200 children are educating through these 5 centers. We are effectively running the centers with efficient staff include 7 teachers, 5 care takers along with me and two volunteers. Slowly we are improving facilities to the centers. Currently we are providing mid day meals in 3 centers about 150 children. The parents are very happy to send their children to the schools and feel safe and thought that their children get learning, educating and also get a meal. Actually before all the children are out of schools for long years without education and some children are dropouts. Now these children are very happily attending to the schools.

Some of the children are already promoted to further classes and the new academic year is already started from 11th of June 2012. We did not give summer holidays and from 1st May onwards we are running half day schools due to severe summer here as every day 45 Degrees Celsius temperature recorded. But children are likes to coming school and stay until afternoon. Some of the local government officials and education department people are regularly visiting these schools.

I humbly request you to kindly support this project and help the needy children with us in this new academic year 2012 to 13.

I am also gladly informing you that if we get 700 GBP for this project, will also publish in Global Giving USA also to avail more supporters help.

With all our good wishes

Greetings from BASS, India

Almost 200 out of school children are getting education through this project Educate 300 Displaced Children in India. Thank you somuch for every one who supporting this project.

We are effectively running 5 education centers in Guntur district with the support of you all. We are succeeded to get collaboration from the government of Andhra Pradesh under Rajiv Vidya Mission. Each centre 30 to 70 children are attending regularly. They get new life of education after many years out of schools. Each location is situated in the outskirts of the city where no development. This education centers are giving lots of hope to the children living here.

Story from Dasaripalem Education Centre

About 2000 families are living in this slum for the last 5 years without any facilities. Hundreds of children are missing education here due to unavailability of the education opportunities. And if they want to go to school to walk at least about 3 to 5 kms and cross highway no.5.  And their parents are unable to send the children to other schools by autos or other transportation facility due to expensive.  Therefore many children were out of schools.

At last with all your support we are started a special school here and smoothly running with two teachers and one care taker. At present almost 50 children are attending in this school. All the families are very happy for their children getting education after many years of out of schools. This school is running in a rented hut, please see in the following photos. Thank you for your support.

4 more other Education centers

We are successfully continuing our established 5 education centers located in the remote slums. And also we are successfully obtained the recognition from the government of Andhra Pradesh. The major similarity for all these Education centers is providing education opportunity to all the out of school children due to unavailability of education facilities in their living areas. Children are very happy to attend the classes and learning as per their standards in education.

Request

Thank you so much for your continuous support for this project. We are very happy and thankful to you all. We humbly request you please recommend this project to many people around the world. We are very difficult to run the centers without your support. Children are unable to sit in classes with hungry stomachs. Still we have to provide at least good lunches. I request you please support our children to get education.

Thank you so much for the support
