COVID 19 Deadly contagious viruses is rapidly spreading allover the world include 21900000 positive cases are registered and 6100 died in India. Guntur district is one of Covid Red zone with 558 cases and many suspects identified. The 5th lockdown in India is implementing currently so that no works and at high risk of starvation for slum dwellers since March. Covid containment areas in Guntur district vulnerable families are affects allot without works and no food even after lockdown.
BASS India engaged in distributing essential food rations, packed cooked food and sanitary kits to vulnerable children and their families in Guntur and Praksham Districts . Timely urgent food relief programs will be continued even after the lockdown period until the normalization in the lives of the vulnerable families. And also give family support, counselling and possible family based livelihood income generation activities initiation. And also sensitize and educate to Protect form Covid
Educate, sensitize on Corona Virus with prevention methods and distribute urgent timely essential food needs and sanitary kits to 10000 families. 5 people from project team be trained on facilitation skills to educate more number of people in project locations. Initiate family based income generation programs locally without depend up on others. Strengthen vulnerable families to protect from covid 19 and connect with government and other like minded organisations for continued support.
