Thank you again to everyone that has contributed to the basketball project, we are happy to announce that we have listen to our coaches and families and have finally distributed some used shoes collected from friends and family in the United States.

Quality shoes have always been a problem with our kids, all games are played on outdoor basketball courts and those conditions are not the best for cheap shoes. Fortunately one of our past campers Gideon who is presently a student athlete attending Brigham Young university in Utah, USA, with the help of the basketball team put together a shoe drive for our kids in Minna. Over 100 pairs of gently used athletes shoes finally arrived in Minna first week in December 2020 and where distributed to school kids all around the basketball courts in Minna and surrounding towns.
James who was one of our etile junior kid was so excited to receive the shoes he came back the next day with a friend to introduce him to the game of basketball.

Thank you very much to all our donors for the continued support of all our projects. We really appreciate it. We promise to keep everyone informed on all our progress. Please don't forget to follow us on social media @Timeout4africa. Thank you and God Bless.

Timeout4Africa education and sports foundation has embarked on a COVID relief program to assist our kids and their families during these challenging time. The COVID relief project assisted over 50 kids and there families. The sudden lock down and pandemic affected our school kids and there inabilities to come out and participate in weekly basketball program, the wages of a lot of parents who are daily earners were also affected.  Our team was out at a lot of our campers homes creating awareness on the virus spread and protection. Out team provided mask and hand sanitizer to the kids and their families. They also provided palliative and food item for the kids and also checked on their well-being.
Thank you to everyone for the continuous support at this challenging time. Timeout4Africa Foundation looks forward to working with our instructors to assisting  our kids with the new normal when the lock down is all over and we begin to train again.

Thank you for your generous donation in support of the TimeOut4Africa Education and Sports Foundation. We have good news to share with you!

In February 2020 during the clinic week, We identified about 32 school girls to join our girl elite clinic team. These girls meet with our  coaches and some  instructors to work on both life and basketball skills. We will say we saw tremendous improvement on and off the basketball courts after the clinic week. During the month of September 2019, we ran clinics and matches for the girls and at the end selected the best 32 players from Schools all around Minna, forming 8 teams of  4 players each. These players competed in the 1 week Clinic and competition. All attendees received a new pair of shoes and some game shirts and shorts.
Gladis one of the girls who is in her last year of secondary school said she had never attended any thing like this and was glad she made new friends, acquired new skill and was grateful for the shoes and game cloths.

Timeout4Africa Foundation continues to spread its mission all over Nigeria. In December 2019, the Timeout4Africa team made it back to Jos for a two day instructional clinic. We partnered with Bishop Kwash and his team again at Zambiri school grounds in Nyango Chwel. Jos  for our " Growing the Game" series 2nd edition with 75 school kids for 3schools in the area. Our team presented the team  with 120 T-shirts, 6 basketballs, and 10 pairs of basketball shoes.  The clinic was an instructional clinic where school kids were taught life skills and fundamental basketball skills. Our project leader Mrs Briggs and some few parents was also on hand to make sure the kids were well taken care of and feed lunch each of the clinic days. The students were encouraged to be good citizens and stay in school, and to practice the spirit of sportsmanship when they are playing sports.

The Patron of the school Mrs Kwashi again was very appreciative and also individually thank members of our team for making the 7 hour drive from Minna to organize the clinic.
