Thank you for your generous donation in support of the Timeout 4Africa Foundation. Our basketball clinic extended over 1 ½ weeks filled with activities to develop basketball skills. We had over 500 kids from 12 secondary schools compete and attend the educational clinic. Approximately 350 kids participated in the grand finale and award presentation ceremony. Fifty of youngest participants received award prizes from the Washington Wizards. All attendees received a Timeout 4Africa drawstring bag with school supplies. Competitions included interschool competition, free throw contests, 3 on 3 contests and 3 pointer-shooting contests. All winners received game jerseys, basketball sneakers, and basketballs. Trophies were awarded to the most improved player, most valuable player, and the winning secondary school. Additionally, over 500 Timeout 4Africa t-shirts were shared with parents, teachers, and community spectators.
Mr. and Ms. Ehis, parents of one of the participants, expressed their gratitude appreciation for the work that Timeout 4Africa is doing in the community. Additionally the parents were thrilled to share that the Foundation has positively impacted their son and provides added encouragement for him to perform better in school.

We are very excited to inform you that all is set for Our Annual Timeout4Africa Basketball and life clinic in Minna.Nigeria.
ln our last report. We informed you of the process our shipment takes to get to its final destination.Every thing has arrived safe and sound and we have set the date for the clinic for the 28th of Novermber 2015 at the Township stadium grounds. This year we are happy to say that 4 more schools have registered for the Inter secondary school games making it 12 schools cometing in the games. For a chance to win the trophy held presently by Nassarawa school.About 400 Kids will be expected to participate in the week long event.This year we are going to future the elite team.These are the top 30 kids that were selected last year at the camp and have been training with Resident coaches weekly to develop there basketball fundamental and also help them with life skills.
A couple of weeks ago 2 of our staff paid a visit to a selected student Yusuf at Bahago secondary school to see how he was doing with his school work .Yusuf last year was selected as the Most valuable player of the clinic ,so we were eager to see how his team was preparing for the upcoming competition .His teachers had noting but praise for his school work and thanked the Timeout4Africa team for showing interest in the student.They also informed us that the exposure the students are getting has help improve there self confidence.

We are very happy to inform you that as the end of summer is getting closer ,we are hard at work making sure we have a bigger and better clinic this year.This years events will include our male and female basketball and life clinic,with about 300 kids participating,Inter secondary school games and also our Tutorial session with visiting National coaches.With your generous donation, we were able to purchase over 100 basketball shoes , 100 basketballs and over 2000 T shirts for the basketball and life clinic to be held in Minna ,Nigeria in the Last week of November 2015.Most of the T- shirts will go to various students at school including competing students , parents and well wishes in the community. We were also fortune to get various items from friends ,family and even the Washington Wizards NBA team.These items will be boxed and shipped in the next couple of weeks to Lagos ,Nigeria .We will then transport them by road to Minna for the camp week.This process will take a month and a half.
In our November 2014 ,We promise to keep you informed about Mohammed Isah.He is the 14 year old kid discoved from the camp. We are happy to inform you that he is finally here in the Bronx ,New York. Attending schools and playing basketball with the New heights AAU youth team .Mr Thompson who is Mohammed coach says he is doing very well adapting to life in the big apple and making new friends.We will continue to keep you informed about his progress.

Thank you for your donations that have been helpful in the implementation of ongoing projects in Africa. This update is to inform you of another completed project at Ahmadu Bahago secondary school in Minna, Nigeria. We have completed a renovation of the school’s basketball court. The renovation included the installation of new basketball posts, including rims and backboards, and total resurfacing of the floor.
Over 100 students were involved in this project, lending time and labor over the past six months. Approximately 500 students and adults benefit recreationally from the renovated basketball court.
Abu, the game master at Ahmadu Bahago school, extended a special thank you to donors and Time Out 4 Africa Foundation for enhancing the school’s basketball facility. Abu also informed us that neighborhood kids and parents are also benefiting from the court restoration.

With our hard work and your help, we were able to raise the most amount of money amongst the competing foundations in the Global Giving September Open Challenge. We also had the highest number of people to donate to our foundation. Over 500 donations were made.
