Project Report | Dec 5, 2024
Art&Neuroscience: 250 Vulnerable Mexican Children

By Luz Pro | Director and founder

To our appreciated GlobalGiving donors,

We are excited to share the second report of "Art&Neuroscience: 250 Mexican Vulnerable Children", highlighting progress made thanks to your generous support. The Arte Pro team is deeply grateful for your trust, which has allowed us to carry out workshops and artistic activities for vulnerable children, making a positive impact on their lives.

We also recognize the exemplary commitment of our volunteer team. Please find below the most significant achievements between July and October 2024, and we invite you to consult the annual reports at https://www.artepro.mx/reports/.

  • Weekly workshop program: We expanded our program to include high-quality workshops with professionals in the arts, sciences, technology, and the environment.
  • Growing Collaborators and Consultants: We expanded our network of mental health, psychology, and neuroscience experts to improve our methodology, impact evaluations, and academic partnerships.
  • Expanding the program to new schools: To extend the positive impact of the program, we expanded our activities to new schools. This expansion allows a greater number of children to have access to workshops and activities that promote artistic, cognitive and socio-emotional development.
  • Psychological evaluations: In the area of impact measurement, a socio-demographic survey was conducted to analyze exogenous factors and socio-cultural contexts of the populations. The opinions of the children were also taken into account in order to adapt and replicate the program activities. Recent evaluations of the Arte Pro program show improvements in visual-spatial skills, attention, language, memory and categorization, as well as social skills such as coexistence, cooperation, impulse regulation and self-perception. In addition, we work to improve emotional indicators related to anxiety and depressive behaviors.

July-October 2024 achievements

  • 45 children participated in our activities
  • 19 workshops held
  • 9 visits to art galleries and cultural or natural spaces
  • 121 partnerships with companies, collaborators and projects
  • 34 volunteers
  • 6 fundraising events

We are deeply grateful to share these successes with you and to demonstrate how your generosity has changed the lives of the children who participate in our program. Your support and trust are fundamental to making this a reality. For our part, we reaffirm our commitment to continue working with dedication to empower children through the arts and to promote their cognitive, social and emotional development in meaningful ways.

With gratitude,

The team and all the children of Arte Pro
