Arte Pro is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to creating programmes that show strong scientific evidence of having the greatest positive impact on children's development; specifically exceeding their mental health, social competencies, and executive skills . Since 2014, Arte Pro has worked with over 1,000 children born into abuse, trafficking, and incarceration. Our comprehensive programmes include mindfulness, art, music, somatic movement, environmental education, ancestral culture, and play.
Arte Pro is a non-profit organization that offers educational art programs to vulnerable children from 5 to 12 years old. Our mission is to generate a positive impact on cognitive, emotional and social development of kids through art workshops, mindfulness and cultural visits with the collaboration of professional artists, educators, art therapists and different specialists to children from shelter homes, marginalized communities, abused girls and children born in prisons in Mexico City. Through Arte Pro, professionals in art, psychology, pedagogy and neuroscience work together to build an educational art program that aims to strengthen in our children self-confidence, self-expression, teamwork, resilience, creativity, focus, and a calm mind. We conduct psychological evaluations to assess their most urgent cognitive, social and emotional needs. Arte Pro offers 30 hours of workshops per month in disciplines, such as theater, dance, visual arts, music, meditation, agroecology, etc
The educational art and mindfulness program of Arte Pro will impact 150-200 vulnerable children, helping them to discover artistic skills they may not realize they have, build life skills through the arts, use mindfulness tools, and provide positive outlets for your daily life. Through our program, kids acquire tools for empowerment, self-confidence, emotional self-regulation, self-expression, resilience, creativity, independence, self-care, and self-love.
