tailoring equipment & human capital in process
tailoring equipment & human capital in process

The research findings conducted by Kole Intellectual Forum from 2016 to date (2020) reveal that: either NGO or CBO can help the community by partly or fully transforming themselves into social enterprises that can enable the local community to generate revenues that can bring about social values into their lives. Again, such concept was also found out by Kole Intellectual Forum to be that an ideal idea that can catalyze social innovations and social learning outcomes.

Having, in its (Kole Intellectual Forum’s) participation in an action research; going through the quality, sustainable and potential education for the last five years; and having learnt that, without moving the community from the pool of the abject poverty at home; the three components of highly needed essentials in education mentioned above to build up quality human capital can never take up a clear indicator.

In the apex of it all, the orgaination concluded that: everybody human being live at home, whether rich or poor, small or big, young or old, blac or white educated or uneducated, or else, we can simply say there is no human being without home, including the mad people; hence, Kole Intellectual Forum developed a program of Home Economics purposely to address the issues of Home management that are expected to be the tools in the near future that can support quality, sustainable, and potential education in Uganda and beyond when sold out widely.

A sample case study is those 10 girls that had been out of school photo above, are the candidates of Home Economics of Kole Intellectual Forum in 2 months being transformed into tailoring workshop for making school uniforms; leading to the establishment of social enterprise with the expectation of bring about social values to the local community.

Defining it as one of the solutions to address the widening gap between humanitarian needs and available resources is Kole Intellectual Forum, a Community Based Organization that is deeply rooted in the community that it serves. The organization in 2016 was started by the five professional sons and daughters of the region, particularly those from Kole District in Northern Uganda, to find out the best approach or way (local solution) to address the a looming problems their community are facing at the post conflict time without any clear answer.

Since then, the organization is doing these in Kole District through an action research, whereby, the problem is identified, investigated, analyzed, interpreted, diognized, and where possible treated. In other words, is all about: through action research, the organization selects the focus, clarifies theories to guide the action, identifies research questions, collects data, analyzes data, reports results and finally when everything are in place, the organization takes on an informed action.

In the same way, when the organization learnt about the Community Hall that was blown off by the storm covering 8 people but fortunately they did not die on the 20/11/2020 at the location where the office of the organization is located at Te_Okole, Ogwangacuma Parish, Aboke Sub-County, Kole District, Northern Uganda; it was to the concern to the members of board and staff of organization to send their team to go and verify the situation of the place and report to them as soon as possible and this was done on 27/11/2020

CCTV Camera: Monitors the insecurity of the Girls

Dearly, Kole Intellectual Forum’s plan of action for the 10 girls studying at their Institute of Home Economics is to seek for a strengthen universal peace in larger freedom; so that, as they have already launched a serious campaign of togetherness (Collective Responsibility) with others to eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty across the globe and replace it with sustainable peace; especially, on the girl child issues those still remain the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development; that is, lacking in many places including at the post war area of Northern Uganda; where there is that an urgent need for organizing tools of all kinds to address it within the region in the soonest time possible.

With that as a matter of concern, The administrators of Kole Intellectual Forum in its staff meeting held on the 4 /11/2020 at their Headquarter at Aboke Town Council in Uganda; called for the attention of members of Board, employees, project Leaders, supporters, and the recruited fundraisers as well as well-wishers to work with them in collaborative partnership to see that: the plan that is ongoing to invest in 10 girls to fight their rights and COVID-19 should take a serious take off in the early day of 2021; and they called upon their team to stand up vigilantly in ensuring that: they endeavor to raise the expected $30,000 during #GivingTuesday December 1, 2020 and in the Year End campaign that will follow up to December31, 2020

With that: The organization is determined to take the bold and transformative steps which are urgently needed through their program of home Economics to shift the world onto a sustainable development and resilient path; beginning with these 10 girls by using CCTV camera to help them among others monitor their behaviors and enable them to control any risk that can hinder their security towards the intended progressive plan.
