A Month of Movement, Health, and Fun!

Headbands Activity

July has a been a busy and active month for VE!

Begining in June and moving into July we kicked off our English in Motion event. This event is designed to encourage the continued growth and education of the children with whom we work wtih a specific focus on learning basic English words. Our wonderful volunteers have been implementing many fun and educational activities for the children from voccabulary go-fish to headbands!

On July 7th we will put on our yearly Extreme English event where all the kids can come together for an English emersion experience. We are very excited to see all that they have learned!

Following the themes of engagement, motion, and fun at the end of this month VE will be hosting it's monthly Liga de Deportes event centered around Yoga. We are happy to announce that for this event we will be partnering with YogaEdu to tailor the yoga events especially for the kids!

In addition to all the events our Volunteer Program is putting on this month our Life Skills program has also had some major successes this month! This past Monday the kids participating in our Life Skills program had the amazing opportunity to partner with the Instituto National de la Joventud (National Insitution for Youth). Each child received a tree to plant at their residence. How environmentally friendly!

Stay tuned for next month as we start to prepare for our new volunteer class!

Love from Santiago!
