Status update of the project
By Sriram NADIMINTI | Project Leader
The new academic year is starting in May/June time frame and this year the fund raising campagn has to be more productive. BCT has been supporting these children for the past 40 years and hopes to continue to do so this year as well. The strengths of BCT are Courage, Determination and Hope. With these strengths, BCT was able to overcome the many hurdles in providing a Value Based Skills Oriented Quality Education to the children of around 120 villages of Visakhapatnam District. The best returns do show up in the form of successful citizens who are climbing the social ladder using the education provided. And this happens quiet frequently. These returns are making BCT more determined in pursuing their Goals.
If any of you do have contacts of Philanthropists, please contact us and provide the necessary information.

Status update of the project
By Sri Ram M Bhagavatula | Project Manager
Over the past few years, BCT has been assiduously ensuring that the children being admitted in the Residential High School are from rural and tribal areas, parents/single-parent/family are from small and marginal farmers. This is to counter the various opportunities that are present for the children from privileged backgrounds including parental support and access to quality education.
The school staff as well as the community organizers of BCT do background checks to ensure that children hailing from families that struggling to make ends meet would be given scholarship to pursue education not only in the high school but also for higher technical education after graduation.
The support of Global Giving, we were able to raise $6393 which is used for supporting 12 such children's complete education for this academic year while 2 children were supported for their loading and boarding. These children are out of 28 such children selected this year.
