Charkha Skill
Vocational skills
India today has many educated unemployed, but very few educated skilled workers. It thus emphasizes that all students be trained in some vocational skill, that will enable them to easily gain a job or start their own entrepreneurial endeavour or pursue technical education. In this regard,
- Skills are imparted in the areas of electrical and plumbing, yarn spinning through Gandhian charkha, agriculture, tailoring and embroidery
- Students in each skill have received hands-on training.
- The income from the skills is distributed amongst children.
The photo shows the Charkha skill in progress- to make thread from the raw cotton which is used for weaving the school uniforms.

BCT Residential School is also committed to educate children with speech and hearing impaired problems. These children get admitted at various stages of these deficiencies and a team of committed teachers educate them and bring them alongwith mainstream.
We are proud to present a case of these children who have graduated in Tenth Standard and with additional skills required for continuing their independent lives.
The following is an excerpt from our CEO, Sri Ram B on this achievement.
Quote:
Great feeling to see these speech and hearing impaired children graduate Std. X in distinction and now proud owners of sewing machines to start their own self employment units — at Bhagavatula Charitable Trust.

Update on RHS project
By Sriram NADIMINTI | Project Leader
Dear All,
Once again we are at the beginning of the new academic year and session. With the new students being admitted and plan for the existing students, the teaching and non-teaching staff are busy with heavy schedules.
This year we are planning to increase the number as our hostel facility for Boys and Girls is being at furnishing stages.
There are new requirements for all the 200+ children heading on to new academic year. These requirements include new uniforms, stationery items, improved library facility, English language self-learning kits, sport and board games for recreation.
Looking at these requirements, we who are at the ends-meet team, find a mammoth task, but like every year, we are sure that some of you would assist BCT in getting there.
Season's greetings
Team BCT
