Our dear Donors,
We are happy to share our news with you on the project progress in supporting Ukrainian people living with a rare (orphan) disease.
As the war continues Ukrainian patients with certain rare diagnosis are increasingly at risk of being without access to respiratory treatment. They need specialized in home care every day, which often depends on the use of special medical devices. Because of blackouts such devices have to be equipped with rechargeable batteries.
Thanks to the charitable funds of GlobalGiving, our Foundation purchased a life-saving medical device for 7-year-old Bohdanchyk from Volyn region who has a severe form of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The little boy`s family received a portable aspirator, which can function on the rechargeable battery ensuring respiratory care when needed.
Our Foundation had also the possibility to purchase a powerful 10-liter oxygen concentrator for 68-year-old Volodymyr from the Kirovohrad region, living with a Pulmonary Hypertension – a rare disease which affects lungs and heart. Thanks to GlobalGiving funds, Volodymyr is provided now with 24-hours access to the oxygen therapy.
We are incredibly grateful to all the donors of GlobalGiving for the support and opportunity to save the health and lives of rare diseases patients in these challenging times for Ukraine.
Kind regards,
Tetyana Zamorska
