Sometimes the deepest wounds are the ones no one talks about.
A woman may experience violence and remain silent because she fears stigma.
A girl may experience exploitation and believe no one will listen.
A young person may have questions about sexual and reproductive health but have nowhere safe to ask them.
Silence can become another burden.
No woman or girl should have to carry that burden alone.
Through Support Sexual Health Rights for Women and Girls, GoGreen aims to create opportunities for women, girls, and young people affected by conflict and displacement in Benue State to access accurate information, learn about their rights, participate in peer support and community dialogue, and understand pathways for reporting violence and seeking appropriate assistance.
Our goal is not simply to talk about difficult issues.
It is to help create environments where those issues can be discussed with dignity and where harmful beliefs can be challenged.
Where survivors are not blamed.
Where girls' voices matter.
Where young people can access age-appropriate information.
Where communities increasingly recognize that gender-based violence is unacceptable.
And where asking for help is understood as a right—not a source of shame.
We want to reach 400 people.
But today, we are still waiting for the first donor who will help us begin.
