Dear Prospective Supporter,
Picture a classroom in Benue State, where bright young girls dream of becoming doctors, teachers, and leaders. For many, that dream is interrupted far too soon. Early marriage, gender-based violence, and harmful practices like FGM force thousands of girls out of school every year, robbing them not only of an education but of their hopes and ambitions.
According to UNICEF, 43% of Nigerian women aged 20–24 were married before their 18th birthday. In Benue, these numbers are even more alarming due to ongoing conflict and poverty. Once married, a girl is far more likely to drop out of school, face early pregnancies, and be exposed to health risks—including complications that are a leading cause of death among adolescent girls in Nigeria.
The consequences are profound:
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
With your support for the “Support Sexual Health Rights for Women and Girls” project, we can:
When a girl stays in school, her future—and the future of her community—changes forever. She is more likely to earn a living, raise healthier children, and become a role model for others. The cycle of poverty and violence is broken, and entire communities benefit from her strength and success.
Your gift is more than charity—it’s an investment in every girl’s right to learn, thrive, and lead. Join us in building a Benue State where girls are students, not brides; leaders, not victims; hopeful, not hopeless.
Together, we can protect her dreams and secure a brighter tomorrow.
With hope and determination,
