Building friendships.

Developing her talents.

Imagining what she might become.

Instead, too many girls face pressures and harmful practices that can limit their choices long before adulthood.

Child marriage is not simply a ceremony.

For a girl, it can affect education, health, economic opportunity, bodily autonomy, and the ability to make decisions about her own future.

Conflict, displacement, and poverty can deepen these vulnerabilities.

When families are under extreme economic and social pressure, harmful coping mechanisms may become more likely, while girls can have fewer safe spaces to access information and support.

GoGreen believes prevention must include knowledge and community engagement.

Through Support Sexual Health Rights for Women and Girls, we aim to reach 400 women, girls, and young people affected by conflict and displacement in Benue State.

Peer-led education and community dialogue will help participants understand sexual and reproductive health and rights, question harmful norms, recognize gender-based violence, and know where appropriate services and support can be sought.

But lasting change cannot rest on girls alone.

Communities must be part of the conversation.

Caregivers must be engaged.

Young people must be informed.

Harmful norms must be questioned.

And girls must be heard.

Our project, Every Child in Nigeria Deserves a Chance to Learn, seeks to restore access to education for 500 vulnerable children affected by conflict and displacement in Nasarawa State.

We are helping remove the practical barriers standing between these children and their education while also integrating psychosocial support and child protection referrals.
