CARE Society and myHarvest wish to thank you once again for your precious support! Your donations have been extremely useful in helping to advance their work.
Since March 2018, CARE Society has started working with 12 villages in the Marakkanam area, that is with about 700 farmers. Their recent work has been focused on identifying issues farmers are facing in this particular block, delivering workshops centered on rainwater harvesting, and motivating farmers to take action with the support of their peers. CARE Society is planning to distribute a new batch of millet seeds to farmers in the Marakkanam area shortly.
The feedback myHarvest has been getting from teachers and students who attended their programs in various schools is very positive. Students have acquired new life skills by gaining practical experience of growing varieties of vegetables and developed a strong interest in observing and understanding nature and the environment in a completely different way. Most students interviewed by the team were happy to share that taking part in these programs helped them alter their eating habits for the better!
Your support has been wonderful and is making a significant difference. Thank you!
