CARE Society and myHarvest wish to thank you once again for your precious support! Your donations (which are still coming in!) have helped them tremendously carry out their projects and have even more impact on the field.
Thanks to the funds raised, myHarvest have pursued their work with the different schools they’ve engaged with. Since last July’s gardens set up, students have had the opportunity to harvest spinach (more than a dozen times already!), radish, ladyfinger, brinjal, ridge gourd, and green chilies. Now, the time has come to plan the upcoming sowing season just in time before the academic year comes to an end. After running a workshop for them, myHarvest distributed mini-home gardening kits to 40 girl students from Perambur so they can grow spinach in their homes too.
Since last August, CARE Society has been working closely with more than 160 farmers in 7 village panchayats. Since last October, the team has conducted a dozen training programs focusing on ‘Milk animal rearing’, ‘Block gram cultivation’, ‘Asola cultivation’, ‘Farmer producer company orientation’, and ‘Bank services’ as well as a ‘Collective farming' training targeted at university students majoring in Agriculture.
Your support has been wonderful and is making a significant difference.
Thank you!
