During this reporting period, Young Visionary Leaders Ghana (YVLG) faced significant fundraising challenges, which have affected the implementation timeline of the Read and Narrate Literacy Program. Since March, contributions toward the project have been slower than anticipated, making it difficult to mobilize the resources needed to conduct planned literacy activities in schools. As a result, no new project activities were implemented during this reporting period. While this has been disappointing for our team, we remain committed to the vision of helping children in underserved communities develop strong literacy, communication, and storytelling skills. Despite the pause in implementation, YVLG has continued engaging in planning and resource mobilization efforts. We have been exploring partnerships, strengthening our volunteer network, and identifying strategies to ensure the program can resume and reach more children once sufficient funding is secured. We have also maintained communication with schools that have previously benefited from the program to better understand their current literacy needs and priorities. The impact of earlier program activities continues to encourage us. Teachers and school leaders have shared positive feedback about students who participated in previous sessions, noting improvements in confidence, reading habits, and public speaking abilities. These outcomes reinforce the importance of sustaining literacy interventions for young learners. In the coming months, our priority will be to raise the necessary resources to restart reading sessions, storytelling activities, and literacy engagement programs in participating schools. We remain hopeful that, with continued donor support, we will soon be able to resume direct activities and expand opportunities for children to develop a love for reading and learning. We sincerely thank our donors, supporters, educators, and volunteers for standing with us during this challenging period. Your support keeps this vision alive, and we look forward to sharing progress as implementation resumes.
