Another life got saved
By Amos Ajisekola | Project leader
Maternal mortality remains an avoidable incidence of reckoning among the vulnerable women. Poverty, illiteracy and cultural beliefs remain the lead predisposing factor among the population we serve. Despite stakeholders' efforts in curbing the unfortunate menace which is regrettably not recieving enough attention in this era of COVID19 pandemic.
Oak Rural Health Organization has been able touch lives and helped majority of these women with essential commodities and care needed for a healthy mother and child. Most recent of our breakthrough is a case of Mrs F.A., she is a multigravidar with poor obstetric history. She lost her previous termed pregnancy to poor management in an undisclosed facility. She got aware of our ongoing project and decided to give it a try. She attended her ANCs as at when due and never missed any of her medications. Mrs F.A had a bouncing baby girl at term with no perinatal complications.
This project has managed to survive on a very low resources, we humbly solicit supports and donations from our kind hearted donors. This will enable us reach more vulnerable groups and keep both the mother and child alive.

Preventing maternal and child mortality!
By Amos Ajisekola | Project leader
Oak Rural Health Organization continues to make progress in our efforts to contribute to global reduction of maternal and child mortality. This is done by ensuring every Rural and vulnerable pregnant woman has access to efficient prenatal and post natal care. We engaged in activities that encourage the women to be able to afford the professional services regardless of their economic background.
Fatoyin is one of our numerous beneficiaries who got delivered of a bouncing baby girl recently. She had her first baby at a traditional birthing home. She is one of the clients who were mobilised for the project and hence, was booked for antenatal care for her subsequent pregnancy at our project center where she was duly cared for. "I am so glad to have this baby in the hospital, this makes it easy to access professional care and you are sure you are in save hands in case of emergency " she said during an interaction with one of our team members. She further said she will like to have more babies in the hospital.
This project is specifically designed for women of low economic background. Even in our very low resourced settings, we are still achieving the goal of getting more women to patronize professional child birth services. This would not have happened without your generous donations. We are proud to have you with us. Giving more to this project will enable us to reach more women and prevent more birth related maternal and child mortality.

Essential nutrients supply for healthy mother and child.
By Amos Ajisekola | Project leader
Section of pregnant women who recieved supplements
Inadequate nutrition cum lack of adequate nutrients before and during pregnancy, pose a grave danger to the expectant mother, the unborn child and, even after birth. A child with inadequate nutrients supply if lucky to survive, may grow into adults who cannot contribute meaningfully to societal growth. The short and long term objectives of this project is to have a healthy mother before and after birth with a child who will grow to become a brilliant adult.
Despite scarce resources, Oak Rural Health Organization has been able to impact positively on no fewer than 300 pregnant women. Our recent rounds of low cost antenatal services and distribution of prenatal nutrients supplements and consumables, is a huge success. It has enabled the local economically disadvantaged women to avail themselves of professional services. Many of them have delivered safely and now attend the infant welfare clinic.
However, the progress of the project has been slowed by lack of sufficient funding which has not allowed us to fully implement all the project plans. Your generous donations at this moment will enable us to help more vulnerable pregnant women and, we together will achieve a progressive decline in global maternal and child mortality.
