A joyous atmosphere as groups of pregnant women received packs of delivery consumables. This forms part of the project implementation strategy to make access to professional services during pregnancy a priority to ]the Rural economically disadvantaged women. Health education and other antenatal care services are also part of the program. One of the beneficiaries, Mrs R.O who disclosed that she had her two previous birth at a herbal home, explained how inability to purchase necessary birthing consumables is a major reason why she has not been using hospital services. She is however grateful for this great privilege. Many other participants also shared similar experience with that of Mrs R.O.
Free antenatal services with birthing commodities has proven effective in encouraging women of low economic background to access professional services during pregnancy. This has contributed to reduction in global burden of child birth complications and maternal mortality. We are glad to see you as a key player in this great achievement! Together we are making the world a better place for all. Your relentless support will enable us make provision for more.
