The students at Richardson Park Elementary school have been learning about Neil deGrasse - Tyson, African and Puerto Rican American astrophysicist and cosmologist. The students have learned about his life’s work and accomplishments. They have studied the composition, volume and size of comets just as Neil deGrasse –Tyson has. They learned about the journey of different types of comets and created models of their own. Students present their work with a decorated poster board of information they created and explain what they have learned to an audience. Students are awarded medals and certificates for their participation in the STEMulate® Change Program.
