The current STEMulate Change 2015-2016 fall/spring session features Astronaut Mae Jemison as the as the icon focus. Students will learn about the physics of flight and Newton's Laws of Motion to then apply these concepts in the creation of three different types of DIY rocket projects. Students will use the Engineering Design Process to create their rockets and the scientific method to test and experiment with their rockets. Students will then present and demonstrate what they have learned during a culmination event. The STEMulate Change program is being taught at three different Police Athletic League campuses and four different Red Clay Consolidated School District locations.
