Dear Romania Animal Rescue Supporters,
I have the great news that RAR has now spayed/neutered over 26,000 animals in Romania! Our spayathons are reaching more cities, towns and villages than ever before! We are now able to go into remote areas to help animals that otherwise had no help whatsoever as there are no local vets.
Our programs are so well received that we have a list of animal lovers and charities that are awaiting our return, and we just finished more programs in Iasi, Adjud, Vatra Dornei, Suplac, Bistrita, Tecuci, Maoland, Moreni, Craiova and Bucharest. Thanks to your help and support, we are able to prevent thousands and thousands of kittens from ever being born to be abandoned.
One of our vets, Dr. Irina Corbu, contacted me last week to tell me that on her way back from the Bistrita Spayathon she was noticing cats on the roads. Cats dumped and abandoned as is usually the case with dogs in Romania. She was distraught and very upset. We need to reach out as much as possible to help more if we can possibly do this.
July 7 is our Veterinary Director, Dr. Aurelian Stefan's birthday. He has asked for the spay of 200 cats in the Homeless Animals Hospital in Craiova as his present. Can you help us reach this goal of 200 cat spays? Thusfar we have raised funds for 8 cat spays ($200). I hope you can join me in donating to the spay/neuter of 200 cats in Craiova! The cost per spay/neuter is $25.
