We here at Tana Delta Kenya, convey our warm greetings to all our well-wishers who have continued playing a massive role in the development and nurturing of students through the solar lanterns project. We are hoping that this May, 2023 report finds you well and in good health.
On 6th April, 2023, two of Tana River Life Foundation (TRLF) volunteers had re-visited three primary schools located in the interior namely Lazima primary, Ngumu primary and Marembo primary respectively. Solar lanterns were issued out to the students of class 6 and 8 who are preparing to sit for their national exams scheduled to kick off in November, 2023. The journey to the schools was smooth due to the conducive weather conditions making roads passable compared to the rainy season where roads become impassable.
Teachers and students from the schools were overwhelmed and grateful for the tremendous support given to them. Students promised to prudently use the solar lanterns to improve on their academic performance and bring the best out of them in academics.
Finally, we at TRLF would like to express our gratitude to all donors for your trust and continued support towards this noble course of lighting lives of students in the Tana Delta, Kenya to realize their full potential in education. God bless.
