After five years of implementation, the Lasallian Social Enterprise for Economic Development (LSEED) is now in transition as De La Salle University's Center for Social Entrepreneurship. This is in recognition of the successful localization of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through social entrepreneurship as well as the development of an ecosystem of social enterprises in the university and LSEED partner communities.

At present, LSEED has ongoing programs in areas of student formation & SE development, curricular & co-curricular integration, research, internship & volunteerism, and advocacy & internationalization, in partnership with academic and non-academic units of the University.

Below are some of the notable milestones of LSEED:

  • A well-recognized initiative in the country, with a portfolio of 46 social enterprises and 300 social entrepreneurs fromcities in 20 communities, people organizations, and local government units.
  • Conducted over 120  workshops, learning sessions, study tours, and Boot Camps
  • Collaboration with over 120 local and international organizations and universities from ASEAN+3 countries, for both its advocacy and internationalization efforts
  • Engagement of over 1000 students in social entrepreneurship through 23 sections of National Service Training Program, Senior High School, and College programs, in collaboration with academic units.
  • A total of 19 recognitions for student competitions and institutional efforts, local and international.
  • Hosting of learning sessions and conferences on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) involving over 1500 individuals in ASEAN+3
  • Founding membership in Social Innovation for Knowledge and Exchange Network (SILEKN) and Economy of Communion (EOC)- Asia Pacific

It is worth noting that in 2019, LSEED was awarded first runner up for "Academic Leadership in Social Innovation" in Asia-Pacific.
