Digital Aid Distribution for online learning
Digital Aid Distribution for online learning

Dear Readers

Looking at the COVID situation and the norms of the government, offline classes started for classes 9th to 12th and online for Classes 2nd to 8th. Our teachers come to school on scheduled time and take classes accordingly. These classes are being taken regularly by the teachers through WhatsApp Audio Video. We also continued to take online classes for the students of classes Prep-1 to class 1st (Pre-Primary). Online classes were taken regularly by the teachers through ZOOM app. In spite of facing lots of challenges the teachers continue to teach the students regularly with full enthusiasm. All the teachers are continuously being innovative to make their teaching interesting and easy to understand for the students by adding multiple activities to the content.

Remedial Online Classes: With the Help of our volunteers from sorporate sector, we arranged remedial classes the weak students to brush up their knowledge. All these classes were held online.

Digital Aids Distribution: Most of our students were facing difficulties in taking classes and were not being able to take classes because their classes were getting clashed with their siblings. Looking at their problem Setu decided to distribute desktop to the needy ones thanks to FI and other Sponsors. 110 students have been provided with Desktops and Tabs for online learning. Data recharge for sims installed in these systems was also provided by Setu. This was to ensure no extra burden on the family which was already impacted by the recent lockdown.

Supplementing Midday meal with Food Distribution: To motivate students for taking online classes food was distributed to the students who belongs to a needy family or who last their job due to COVID. Food was distributed taking care of the social distancing and all the Covid norm. The distribution was done successfully and shall be continued on monthly basis for the needy families. As part of our drive to ensure nutrition of our students Juices hampers covering a child’s monthly needs was provided to them. We also hope to sustain this activity on a bi-monthly basis.

Cultural ActivitiesStudents were guided and motivated to participate in the following ways:

  • A competition was conducted amongst students which got executed successfully.
  • Students got dressed up as the freedom fighters and presented short speech on the ‘characters’ they dressed up as on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day.
  • They got dressed up as Shri Krishna and Radha and shared the photographs with the respective class teachers on the occasion of Janam Ashtami.
  • They were guided to make beautiful Rakhi and crafts on Independence day celebrations. They also presented short compositions in both English and Hindi.
  • Craft activity was conducted for students in which they were asked to make tri colour caps using A-4 size coloured sheets and the students made beautiful craft out of it and send the picture to their class teacher. The work done by students was outstanding.
