Wishing you a very happy and prosperous New Year! Last quarter of the year 2019 was fun filled and included lots of celebrations and events at Setu. Hope you will enjoy reading the special moments spent with our beneficiaries.

Major Activities of the quarter
Distribution of uniform and stationary. An initiative to keep environment free from plastics we are trying to keep Setu plastic free. To achieve this we have distributed steel water bottles to all students.
Setu School Village Nithari Noida celebrated its Annual day on 29th Nov 2019. A day were the students preached thru dance, drama and songs to keep the environment clean. Students from Prep 1 to Class 12 mesmerized the audience with their performance. The event also marked honouring the achievers for the year 2018-2019 and finally winter uniform was distributed to students.
School Students along with their teachers organised Setu Diwali Mela for the Community at Village Nithari Noida. A day of enjoyment, fun, food, music, dance, games, gifting and finally new learning for the senior students. Participation by beneficiaries of Setu Centre for People with Special needs, Setu Skill centre at Village Nithari and Sadarpur and Setu School Noida.
Birthday celebration: We celebrate monthly birthdays on 4th Saturday. Children whose birthday falls in one month cut the cake and teachers organise some games for them.
Workshop on Cyber Crime for Primary students: An interactive Session of Cyber Crime was organised during the quarter for our school students.
Inter School Competition: In an interschool competition our student of class 3rd won the 3rd prize in a poem recitation competition. All students who participated in events got participation certificate.
Inter School Painting competition: The 12th Setu Shiksha Jyoti Inter School Painting competition was organised at Mayoor School Noida on 22nd November 2019. This enabled the children to express their thoughts, feelings, creativity on canvas while splashing the atmosphere with colours. Over 400 students from various schools of Noida participated in the competition. The purpose of the competition was to create awareness towards the education of the children from the weaker sections of society so that they could also lead a life to build a great nation. The yearly shield School was awarded to Gaur International School, among NGO schools to Nai Disha School and in the Special School Category to Rotary Special School all from Noida. The Prizes were handed over by Ms. Shazia Amanat Pearl, Dr Poonam Minhas, Vice Principal, Mayoor School, Mr. Vijay Rao Motivational Speaker, Mr. Ravi Kaul and Ms. Sanjina Wali Trustees along with management team members of Setu Ms. Jyotsna, Geetanjali and Manisha Pandey Lastly I would also like to thank our guests, Management and staff of Mayoor school, all our volunteers, the SETU team and finally Mentor Graphics for ensuring the organisation of this Mega event.
Courtesy some of our individual donors the Students of Setu School and the Staff at Setu concluded a picnic cum educational visit. Students of Prep 1 to 1 went to the Meghdootam Park, Noida. Students of Classes 2 to 5 were taken to Rail Museum, Delhi. Students of Classes 6 to 12 went to Humayun Tomb and India Gate Delhi. It was a great learning experience for all students. Why should the Staff be left behind, all staff members of Setu - the changemakers had an outing at Pratapgarh Farms in Jhajjar. Enjoyment, fun food and games for all. A first for Setu were all students and staff had a grand picnic.
Christmas was celebrated on 24th December and students were given gifts. Kids have performed on this occasion
Mr. Olaf Schwabe CEO Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co Germany visits Setu School Village Nithari, Noida and interacts with the students. He was briefed on the journey of Setu School and the students thanked him for provided an upgraded computer lab to the school. Students of primary wing presented a dance imbibing protection of our environment - "Say no to plastics". He was accompanied By Mr Ashish Kumar and Mr Akhilesh Tripathi CFO Schwabe India.
Happiness Classes: On weekly basis class teacher takes one topic and discuss it in detail with her class. She tells story and shows videos related to that topic. In the last week students share their story. They share how it has impacted on their behaviour and in daily lives. Students are acknowledged in assembly for their best practices.
Academics: Monthly tests are being conducted and final exam will be held in Feb 2020. New session will start in third week of March 2020. Remedial classes have started for weak students to improve their performance.
