The Graduation was filled with mixed feelings. Happy to have completed their course successfully, but sad because they would soon be separated after six eventful months together.
For this Graduation, the students designed their event starting from the committee, stage decorations, various events and performances. This is one of the curriculum’s core competencies, so that they can learn the various stages of organizing. Our students are hugely talented and have amazing artistic abilities which they showcase through their performances. These included a Malay dance, poetry reading, Pencak silat demonstration, Kuda Lumping and many more.
A week after graduation, we immediately started preparing for Batch 39. The program was a little different. We will shorten the training period to 4 months with a focus on 2 months of basic and 2 months of writing scientific papers.
Another difference from this program is that we collaborate with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology by recruiting Vocational High School students who come from rural areas, but we still focus on vulnerable youth. The schools are from South Aceh, South Kalimantan, Sumba, NTT, South Sulawesi and Tidore Kepualauan in North Maluku.
We have 24 men and 10 women.
It is a very diverse group, and we are excited to welcome them to our farm.
