The children at Hope Rising Homes, Foundation were 5girls and 2 boys who are healthy, smart, and brilliant. This last quarter was very busy in the home with visits to court for their usual hearing.

Three of the children were in court on the 7th of December 2023, their care orders were extended but one of the children was given a closer date because the magistrate needed to see her relatives and mother who was released from the rehabilitation centre in to ascertain if releasing of child to her family will be a better option.

All the children in the home had their school Christmas party on the 12th of December 2023. They were given gifts, customized school sock for Monday and Tuesday wear, food, and drinks. The children really had fun and they were very happy.

The children attended the 6th anniversary celebration of another orphanage which was held at the orphanage premises on the 15th of December 2023. The children had much fun, played games, danced, and got gifts too.

The Christmas outreach of the home was held on the 21st of December 2023 with the Founder and her friends in attendance. The registered 22 widows of the home were in attendance too, the widows were all surprise to see the founder at the event. The event went well as planned.

The children enjoyed their Christmas day at home, they had enough to eat and drink, wore their beautiful Christmas wears specially bought for the season, played lovely games etc.

On the 26th of December 2023, the children attended the December reach out/feed a home programme that was organised by His Grace Worth living Foundation, they enjoyed themselves and were given some items to take home like rice, tissue, noodles, and detergent.

The children attended the social worker daughter’s 5th birthday party on the 2nd of January 2024, they were all gorgeously dressed. They had a lot to eat and drink, they participated in dancing competitions, games, and recitation of rhymes.

The children resumed back to school on the 8th of January 2024 for 2nd term, they are all doing fine.

One of the children was in court on 18th January 2024, her care order was extended till 4th of April 2024. Another child was also in court on the 25th of January 2024, her mother and uncle were present in court, after many deliberations concerning the child bonding with her mother, the court gave an order that her relatives should visit the home at least minimum of 5 times for bonding before the next court date which 4th of April 2023.

The children’s school fees were paid on the 29th of January 2024. They are all doing brilliantly well in school.

The children celebrated the St Valentine’s Day in school with their classmates, teachers, and proprietress. HRHF children went to school with gifts to share among their classmates.

Two of the children were in court on the 20th of Feb 2024, their care order was extended till April 4th and May 16th, 2024.

The children had their school midterm break on the 26th of Feb – 1st March 2024. During the break they did their assignments that was given to them from school. They visited the park in the neighbourhood twice and did some fun games like throwing balls, riding of bicycle, dancing competitions. They enjoyed their midterm break.

One of the children was in court on the 29th of Feb 2024, his care order was extended till 28th March 2024.

The HRHF’s social worker visited the children’s school on the 6th of March 2024, being the first day back to school to check on their academic performances, they are all doing well and have improved.

The children had their school 2nd term examination between 18th - 22nd of March 2024.

The of the children were in court on the 21st of March 2024 but their care order was extended.

The children had their school culture day on the 27th of March 2024, the children wore Adire attire which represents the Yoruba culture. They were part of the cultural dance groups and one of the children also spoke about the different types of Yoruba attires. The school closed for the term on the same day. They were given their school report and assignments to work on during the holiday.

One of the boys was in court on the 28th of March 2024, his care order was extended.

During the Easter the children had a lot to eat and drink, they played different games like throwing of balls, the fastest runner and competed with one another.

Three of the children were in court on the 4th of April 2024, one was officially opened for adoption while others care order were extended to a later date.

The children went outing during the holiday, which was on the 11th of April 2024, they visited two big neighbourhood supermarkets to buy groceries, they shopped and played with the outdoor toys, the children had a lot of fun really and enjoyed themselves.

The children resumed back to school for 3rd term on the 22nd of April 2024.

The officer from the department of creche and orphanage for the state, visited the home for annual inspection on the 26th of April 2024, she commended the staff for their hard work. The children were meet in good and healthy condition, the  home was clean and neat. She meet three of the four staff in the home, they were encouraged to keep up the good work.
