To God is all the glory.

At Hope Rising Homes Foundation, the Lord has been so good to us. He has kept everything about us in perfect peace. Our children are thriving well. No one was sick this past quarter. The school age children are doing excellently well in school. Their report cards were very impressive and encouraging.

In the month of July some of the children visited their mothers, who are receiving treatment at a Psychiatric hospital in Majidun Lagos, a very good time of bonding. The home makes this happen every quarter for the children. Next visit will be coming up on October 20, 2019 by God’s grace.

To our surprise, we received some donations of playground sets, a gas cooking stove with a cylinder, some food items and 2 wall fans for the home to be use by the children. We were told that, the items were from the Present Lagos State governor’s wife. No monetary donations. We thank the First Lady for these generous donations. God will continue to bless her and increase her wisdom.

Our hope over the children continue to rise, knowing that God is on our side and one day, the children will surely reach their potencial. He's using all our donors to keep us going buy donating their time, talent and treasure to our children. The Lord will not forgrt thier labor of love,

When you compare the children's pictures of when they came to Hope Rising Home in 2018 with their present's pictures, you can testify that, they are well feed and we are taking good care of them.

Thank you

The event kicked off at 12:00pm with the presence of few special guests. Media personnel were also present such as the Dj, video recorder and the photographer. Also, the Guardians and Nations new paper  were present to cover the event. Besides the seven (7) children from the Organization, thirty-five (35) other children were  invited to take part in the children’s day celebration.  The children of Hope Rising Homes also welcomed the guests by singing a welcome song. (you are welcome in the name of The Lord, and we can see the glory of the Lord all over you)

A brief talk on the achievement of the Orphanage was being done by Mr. Obiasor , the Organization’s social worker, after which the children came forward to recite their presentation on Bible verses and some poem recitation. Ms. Faith who’s the award recipient of a brand new sewing machine as an act of empowerment was being awarded by our special guest, who also had a tour around the Orphanage being led by the Social worker. He promised to install a CCTV gadget in all corners of the Orphanage in order to ensure a smooth communication and good security measures.

Ms. Faith, the award recipient was given the opportunity to talk on how she felt within. According to her, “she thanked the Founder/Director of the Organization,  for such great empowerment and God’s blessings will never cease to flow on the Organization. There were plenty to eat and drink, the children also had enough time to dance and have fun amongst themselves while the Dj was on deck scratching.

A group of individual by name, the Abeigi association also attended the event, bringing along with them some valuable items such as; bag of rice, cartons of indomie, wears and shoes, detergents and so on. Order of photographs was being done by the end of the program after which a vote of thank and closing prayer was done by Mrs. Alakkija. Seventeen (17) adult and forty-two (42) children in total fifty-nine (59) people, excluding the Media were present.

We thank God and all our donors for making the celebration a success.

To God be all the glory

Since our last report in Dec. of 2018, the Lord has been so good and faithful to Hope Rising Homes Foundation. All our families, friends, donors and our children made 2019 and are all in good health.

Our Christmas celebration at the orphanage home was really beautiful and fun. The children and our staff enjoy themselves. A family came to the home and gave them a Christmas party. On 5th of Jan. They visited Tantalizer Restaurant that has a big play ground to accommodate children.

In the month of January 2019, we had couple of donors that visited the home with food items, toys for the children and monetary donation. The Lord will continue to uplift all donors.

Another fun day for our children, both participated in their school’s inter house sport on the 21st February. (Skylight Comprehensive College) The management of HRHF is saying a big thank you to the school management for their great support to the children’s education.

Since the children have started school last year, they are happier excited. When they received their school uniform and wore it school for the first on February 28th

Hope Rising Homes Foundation has put a smile on the faces of another couple; Daniel was adopted from HRHF on March 1st by the couple who came all the way from Belgium. This is our second adoption since the home was established in May of 2108.

The orphanage home was operating on provisional license since May 2018, however to the glory of God, Lagos state Ministry of Youth and Development visited the home for an inspection and to the glory of God; we were found in good standing. We received a full approval to operate a home in Lagos State, on March 5, 2109.

At Hope Rising Homes, Foundation we are keeping HOPE alive in all the nine children that God has entrusted into our hands. Thank God almighty that has been helping us.

We started with ten children, however the Lord smiled on a family who adopted our first beautiful baby girl, on October 13, 20018 It was hard for us to parted with her, but knowing that she will be well taken care of by Gods grace, we have to let her go to enjoy her new family. We are very grateful to God for using Hope Rising Home, Foundation as a channel of happiness and forever joyful for some couple who couldn’t have their own biological child.

We are presently trusting God for a complete healing for two of our babies who has been in and out of the hospital due to failure to thrive secondary to longstanding malnutrition. Aisha 15 months was admitted on November 15 2018 and was discharged on December 5 2018. Jojo as we call him, 15months old has been admitted in the hospital x3, in the last 7months, minimum of 4 days each time. All this being said the Lord has been faithful. The remaining children have been good. The school age children are doing excellently well. The 6 years old that was sexually abuse by her biological father, attend cancelling section once a month and she’s stable mentally and emotionally at this time.

The Lord has blessed us with wonderful, loving, caring and dedicated staff at this time. They work tirelessly as if the children are their own biological children. I pray that the Lord will reward them abundantly.

At Hope Rising Homes, Foundation, we want all our staff to be knowledgeable about what it’s necessary to do their work effectively and efficiently. Our social worker just returned from a four days training on Child Protection System Strengthening and the Lagos state Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. The training was organized by Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development in collaboration with UNICEF.

Our challenges at this time are to solicit for more funding to care for these angels that the Lord has put in our custody. We are in need of a minivan to transport the children to school, activities, hospital, court etc. We need start to work on buying or building our own for a larger space and we can stop paying rent annually. We are currently not accepting new children who are desperately in need of a safe home like ours; our staff needs more comfortable sleeping arrangements on their down times, if they are comfortable, they will perform their duties with joy and enthusiasm.

We are thanking God for His grace and mercy. We are asking for your continuous support financially, morally and in prayers. The Lord will continue to bless the work of your hands and reward you abundantly. AMEN

What a mighty God we serve.

Hope Rising Homes, Foundation (orphanage home) is matching on.

Presently we have a total of 10 children at the home, ages ranging from 3weeks to 5years old.

The circumstances of how each child came to the home is very sad, from a 5days old baby girl being left in a home alone in May of 2018, another 2 months old found on the street with a broken right arm in June of 2018, 5 girls and 2 boys were rescued from mentally ill mothers on the street of Lagos in May of 2018. A 5 years old girl was sexually abused by her own father in August of 2018. A day old baby boy was left at a bus stop. But the good news is that all these children were rescued and now in a safe and secured home, where they are loved and well caring for.

One of the boys was taken to the hospital as our culture and tradition to have medical checkup done upon each child’s arrival into the home, sadly it was discovered that he was HIV positive. The state government was notified and he was transferred to another home that cares for such sickness.

Couple of times some of the children were sick with minor cold to severe cough and were treated at the hospital with intravenous and oral medications.

The 2 months old baby with the broken arm had the arm casted for 6 weeks, now cast has been removed and she’s doing very well.

All our children are thriving well despite all our challenges.

We will continue to thank all our donors, supporters, staff and volunteers of Hope Rising Homes Foundation in the US and in Africa for their loyalty, dedication and contributions for making it possible for these beautiful children to have a better life.
