Help Us Bring Clean Drinking Water to 30 Families

By Annet Chepkemoi | Program Manager

At Tekelbei Foundation, we believe that every family deserves access to safe and reliable drinking water. For many rural families in Kenya, however, accessing clean water is still a daily struggle. Mothers and children often walk long distances to rivers or shallow wells, and the water they collect is not always safe for drinking.

Our project, aims to address this challenge by providing water tanks that allow families to collect and safely store rainwater at home. These tanks create a dependable source of clean drinking water and help families protect their health.

Our Experience and Commitment

Although this particular project is still in the fundraising stage, Tekelbei Foundation has already made significant progress in improving water access in rural communities. Over the course of our work, we have successfully supplied more than 400 water tanks to families in need.

Each tank has helped a household store rainwater safely, reducing the distance families must travel to collect water and lowering the risk of waterborne diseases. These past efforts have shown us just how powerful a simple solution can be.

Preparing for the Next Step

Our team is currently working closely with rural communities to identify the families who would benefit most from this initiative. We are also planning the logistics for delivering and installing the tanks once the necessary funds are secured.

By preparing early, we aim to ensure that the project can begin quickly and run smoothly once funding is complete.

Why This Project Matters

A water tank can transform daily life for a family. With safe water available at home:

  • Children are less likely to suffer from water-related illnesses

  • Families spend less time walking long distances to fetch water

  • Parents can focus on farming and supporting their households

  • Children have more time to attend school

These changes may seem simple, but they have a powerful impact on the well-being and future of rural families.

We Still Need Your Support

Our goal is to provide clean drinking water access to 30 additional families, but we still need the support of donors to make this possible.

Your contribution will help us move from preparation to action and continue the impact we have already started in rural communities.

Together, we can ensure that more families gain access to something that should never be out of reach clean, safe drinking water.

Thank you for supporting Tekelbei Foundation and helping us bring lasting change.

With Gratitude,

Annet Chepkemoi
