Fundraising for Laboratory
By Queen Obasi | President
The need for a functional laboratory at the Resource Center among other things continues to be our focus this period. Have been managing these individuals with chronic diseases over the years with good result. We have at the same time seen the need for a place to have them go to for lab tests, to be able to monitor the effect of these medications on the organs. The people under our care have no access to a lab or any kind of medical treatment except what we offer them monthly and annually.
We have started construction buy having the water supply to the room for them connected and the sink in place. We are doing fundraising to be able to purchase the needed laboratory equipment and installation. We continued to depend on our donors for the assistance to accomplish this goal, which will be beneficial to the population we are serving. Thank you for all your supports and effort in spraying our story to others

Laboratory unit at the Resource Center
By queen obasi | president
ACHI during its 2018 mission trip initiated the construction of a stationary laboratory at the center to help monitor the individuals whom being followed monthly with their diabetes and hypertension. Their blood sugars and blood pressures are monitor and medications supplied monthly for sustainability. Due to the nature of their illness and management, there is a great need for their organs to be monitored as well, to prevent the complications that develop from the medications or the disease process.
We were able to get some needed supplies for the lab e.g. having a pit for the drainage and sink for washing. All the piping for water supply were completed waiting for the needed resources to be able to purchase the laboratory equipment. We are still trying to raise fund to buy the analyzers, centrifuge, incubators and many other things needed to start a lab.
We are looking forward to a better year with more donations towards the project that will help save more lives by monitoring their progress or lack of progress and timely intervention if needed. We couldn't have made it this far without your continued support and we are greatful and THANK YOU!!!!

Work at the Resource Center
By QUEEN OBASI | PRESIDENT
Work at the Resource center is still in progress and we are making some gains on what we would like the center to look like. Having completed the water project and the landscaping at the center is one of the greatest achievements made at the center. The Resource Center is serving many purposes. The maintenance program for Amakohia is conducted at the center, it houses all the medical supplies. Also, the center is going to be used for health education and assessment. Our next goal is to have a stationary laboratory for follow up care and health maintenance. The lab will be able to perform functions like profiles and chemistries to check for complications and side effect or effectiveness of the medical treatments rendered to the recipients of our program. our lab -in- suit-case have limited functions and outdated and will cost more to bring it up to standard. We are going to start construction at the center in preparation for installation of lab equipment. The project is going to cost a lot of money, but it’s a needed addition to the program, to proper manage these patients. We also want to thank you for your continued support of this noble program that addresses the need of the poor in the rural areas of Nigeria with limited or no access to health care.
