ACHI during its 2018 mission trip initiated the construction of a stationary laboratory at the center to help monitor the individuals whom being followed monthly with their diabetes and hypertension. Their blood sugars and blood pressures are monitor and medications supplied monthly for sustainability. Due to the nature of their illness and management, there is a great need for their organs to be monitored as well, to prevent the complications that develop from the medications or the disease process.
We were able to get some needed supplies for the lab e.g. having a pit for the drainage and sink for washing. All the piping for water supply were completed waiting for the needed resources to be able to purchase the laboratory equipment. We are still trying to raise fund to buy the analyzers, centrifuge, incubators and many other things needed to start a lab.
We are looking forward to a better year with more donations towards the project that will help save more lives by monitoring their progress or lack of progress and timely intervention if needed. We couldn't have made it this far without your continued support and we are greatful and THANK YOU!!!!
