Work at the Resource center is still in progress and we are making some gains on what we would like the center to look like. Having completed the water project and the landscaping at the center is one of the greatest achievements made at the center. The Resource Center is serving many purposes. The maintenance program for Amakohia is conducted at the center, it houses all the medical supplies. Also, the center is going to be used for health education and assessment. Our next goal is to have a stationary laboratory for follow up care and health maintenance. The lab will be able to perform functions like profiles and chemistries to check for complications and side effect or effectiveness of the medical treatments rendered to the recipients of our program. our lab -in- suit-case have limited functions and outdated and will cost more to bring it up to standard. We are going to start construction at the center in preparation for installation of lab equipment. The project is going to cost a lot of money, but it’s a needed addition to the program, to proper manage these patients. We also want to thank you for your continued support of this noble program that addresses the need of the poor in the rural areas of Nigeria with limited or no access to health care.
