Laboratory project
By QUEEN OBASI | PRESIDENT
ACHI continues to see the need for a stationary and functional medical laboratory at the Resource center to help in management of those with chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, and are on long term medications for the treatment. They need to have to labs checked periodically to be able dictate any side effects or complications. We do recommend those to the individuals but due to financial difficulties and lack of any functioning medical labs within their reach, makes it impossible for them to follow through with the recommendations. We continue to fundraise to be able to make this a reality. We are able to provide the services because of your commitment and kindness towards this organization, making it possible for us to render help to others in need. It is not about giving back but about giving.

Laboratory project
By QUEEN OBASI | PRESIDENT
ACHI's plan of having a stationary laboratory is still in progress and we almost there but not quite. The need to have a medical laboratory that is centrally located that will serve all the communities continues to be our focus. Our goal of keeping these individuals safe cannot be complete if we are unable to monitor the effect of the treatments given to them. Due to the financial burden on these individuals and no access to a qualified medical laboratories that are afford around makes it difficult for them to follow up with instructions after the medical outreach and during the monthly maintenance program. We have started getting the room ready by getting the plumbing work done. We are still in need of financial assistance to secure the needed lab equipment for basic tests. ACHI continues to appreciate your continued support in making sure that this outreach and the maintenance program continues every year. Our goal is to have this added service ready by 2021.

Upcoming event at the Resource Center
By Queen Obasi | President
ACHI continues to improve in the level of cares delivered at the Resource center by adding more needed amenities to the site. We have seen the need to have a functioning stationary laboratory at the Resource center to help provide more services to the population in serve in the rural areas. We started the processing of gathering equipment for the lab last year and the process continues this year. We are yet to raise enough fund for the project while we continue to get the structure ready. The presence of the laboratory will help us monitor the effectiveness of the treatment offered and the conditions of the internal organs to be able identify any complications or damage to the organs. We have gotten the septic tank ready and purchased very few lab equipment with the little money raised so far. We appreciate you kind donations and willingness in assisting us in providing adequate health care to the needy and giving hope to the hopeless
