Check Out Our Q1 Report

The first quarter of the year has marked a strong and encouraging start for KRC’s GED program. As demand for accessible education continues to grow in the KL refugee community, the program has provided consistent instruction, mentorship, and support to students working toward their high school equivalency. Throughout Q1, volunteers and staff have worked diligently to create a structured and welcoming learning environment, helping students build both academic skills and confidence. This report highlights key milestones, participation trends, and academic growth numbers. We are excited to share what your support is doing!

Student Testimonial

Some schools teach lessons, but Garden City Learning Center (GCLC) teaches students to discover themselves. Here, curiosity sparks courage, challenges become opportunities, and being different is celebrated. Students don’t just grow academically—they grow in confidence, creativity, and kindness.

What sets GCLC apart is how it values every student’s voice. Teachers like Mr. Miles and Ms. Brooke go beyond academics, inspiring growth, curiosity, and joy in learning. Classes are more than textbooks; they are opportunities to explore, collaborate, and develop life skills.
