Provide 150 kids School Supplies in Benin City, NG

EbonyIda Foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for children, youth, and women to benefit from education and economic empowerment programs through our carefully planned initiatives. We believe that a quality basic education equips children and youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate daily challenges and pursue economic and lifelong learning prospects. Additionally, it serves as a crucial catalyst for poverty reduction, economic growth, gender equality, and social development.

Our approach was thorough and meticulous, and we were able to achieve our goal of providing school supplies to the most vulnerable students. We remain committed to making a positive impact in the education sector and will continue to work tirelessly towards achieving this objective.
The Foundation, in its commitment to enhancing the quality of education in the region, will be providing three public schools, school supplies which includes uniforms, shoes and writing materials in the beginning of fall, 2024.

 In addition, our organization is dedicated to the implementation of tailored programs aimed at addressing the needs of disadvantaged children and youth in Edo State, Nigeria using our newly renovated training center. Our efforts will still be concentrated on the provision of essential school supplies. We will  also offer skills training in fashion design to youths and teens who have discontinued their education, and administer financial assistance to facilitate a November Christmas celebration for impoverished households and the less fortunate pupils who lack the means to procure these items.

BENEFICIARY INSTITUTIONS

Three Public primary schools within Edo state are carefully selected to benefit from this gesture. The schools are;

Payne Primary School-Edokpolor Road
Olua Primary School- Uselu share
Emokpae Primary School, Mission Road

MODE OF BENEFICIARY SELECTION

The identification of beneficiaries will entail collaboration with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and the school principals (Head Mistress/Head Master). These key stakeholders possess comprehensive knowledge of the students and their unique challenges related to acquiring essential school supplies. Subsequently, upon acquiring the students' details, the EbonyIda Foundation's personnel will conduct interviews with the selected students to evaluate their socio-economic status and determine the most suitable candidates for the support program. In furtherance of our assessment process, home visits will be carried out to the residences of selected

We also use the oportunity to inform  any of our Donors who will like to visit our Newly renovated training center located in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

The EbonyIda Foundation is dedicated to providing essential school supplies to economically disadvantaged primary school students in Edo State through its School Supplies Program. The Foundation recognizes the fundamental role of basic education in the growth and development of young learners, as well as their interaction with society. In preparation for the 2024 academic year, the Goal of the Foundation is to distribute uniforms, shoes, and notebooks to 150 underprivileged students to ensure that every child has access to the resources necessary to achieve their full potentials.
The planning and execution of the school supplies event for  2024 starts in March with preliminary preparations and approval obtained from the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). During this period, we visit the schools and select  the beneficiaries, ensuring that the less privileged pupils received the items. We also reached out to the parents and guardians of the selected pupils to rate their poverty scores to ensure that the items were distributed fairly.
Our approach is done thoroughly and meticulously, and we are  able to achieve our goal of providing school supplies to the most vulnerable students.This process makes it possible to maintain  a positive impact in the education sector. We continue to work tirelessly towards achieving this objective.
The Foundation, in its commitment to enhancing the quality of education in the region, recently provided 150 essential school supplies to three schools that were carefully selected from three local government areas in Edo State, namely Oredo. The provision of these educational resources to the schools played a pivotal role in contributing to the academic development of the students.
The program was a resounding success, with all pupils selected for the program showing up to receive the items made available to them. They were particularly delighted to receive the items and pledged to always attend school to learn and make use of the items to aid their learning activities.
Ebonyida foundation event is on a yearly basis. The number of beneficiaries will be three schools in Edo State with a total of 150 students

EVENT TIMELINE
The project will start in  September 2024 following the   approvals from the government authority in charge of public Basic educational institutions in Edo state (State Universal Basic Education Board-SUBEB), then  followed by the logistics which ran towards the end of October 2024.
