Project Overview

The Ebonyida Foundation successfully executed its 2025 School Supply Outreach Program in Benin City, Edo State. The initiative was designed to support 50 less-privileged pupils in public primary schools with essential learning materials, including notebooks and school bags, during school resumption. The program was implemented exactly as planned and budgeted, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Objectives Achieved

• Distributed notebooks (6 per pupil) to 50 pupils across three public primary schools.
• Provided 25 school bags to selected pupils most in need.
• Ensured all items were branded with Ebonyida Foundation stickers and packaged appropriately.
• Facilitated smooth logistics and transportation across three days of outreach.
• Supported volunteers with stipends and welfare provisions.
• Documented the entire outreach through professional media coverage, with video evidence uploaded to the Foundation’s official YouTube channel

Program Implementation

The outreach was carried out over three consecutive days, with visits to three public primary schools(Itohan, Adesuwa, and Fabiyi Akpata primary school)environs. Each day’s activities commenced between 7:30 am and 8:30 am, ensuring pupils received their supplies before the start of classes. The distribution process was orderly, transparent, and impactful, with teachers and community members expressing gratitude for the Foundation’s support.

Impact

• 50 pupils were directly supported with notebooks.
• 25 pupils received school bags, easing their burden of carrying learning materials.
• Enhanced morale and preparedness of pupils at the start of the academic year.
• Strengthened Ebonyida Foundation’s visibility and credibility through branded materials and media documentation.

Media Coverage

EBONYIDA FOUNDATIONProposed 2025/2026 Back-to-School Support Initiative

 1. Background

Since 2020, Ebonyida Foundation has remained committed to improving access to education for less-privileged pupils in public primary schools across Benin City. Each year, the Foundation secures approval from the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to implement its back-to-school support initiatives.

For the 2025/2026 academic session, we are enhancing our outreach model. Instead of focusing solely on pre-selected schools, our volunteers will visit three public primary schools at resumption time (between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.) for three consecutive days. During these visits, they will identify pupils who visibly lack basic school items and provide immediate support on-site.

2. Project Goal

To support 50 less-privileged pupils in public primary schools across Benin City by providing essential school supplies such as notebooks and school bags — thereby improving their learning experience and encouraging regular school attendance.

4. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)

To ensure transparency and measurable impact, Ebonyida Foundation will implement the following measures:

• Beneficiary Documentation: Volunteers will record names, schools, and classes of all supported pupils, with consented photographs for evidence.
• Daily Distribution Log: A tracking form will document the number of items distributed per day and per school.
• Impact Report: A post-outreach report will summarize key achievements, including the total number of beneficiaries reached, photos, and testimonials from recipients and teachers.
• 50 pupils receive essential learning materials.
• Improved attendance, confidence, and participation among beneficiaries.
• Strengthened visibility of Ebonyida Foundation’s impact within the Edo education community.
