The children of Benin City, Nigeria need school supplies yearly, and the mission is to provide at least 150 students with the supplies for the year. Many of the Benin City children live in poverty homes, and they cannot afford education resources. The foundation has requested that the parents of the Benin City students submit a list to include supplies and books for the school term. The Foundation will then award the first 150 children supplies from the project funding to support the mission.
It is very challenging to the educator to teach the students in the poverty areas. Most of the students will drop out of school, because their parents cannot afford to continue to send them to school. It is especially hard on the educators, because they do not have the resources to give to students so they can remain in school. Majority of the students that drop out of school end up on the streets and they do not live as law abiding citizens.
This fund will address the educational needs of 150 students that will enhance their learning abilities by equipping each student with the required school supplies to complete a full school term. Providing the charitable funds will relieve stress from the teacher, parents and the students. The funds will also provide a better educational society for Benin City, Nigeria.
A team has been created to partner with Benin City to ensure the education needs are noted and addressed through the donated funds. The vision is to raise as much money as possible to extend the number of assisted students in Benin City from 50 to 150 the following year. Ebonyida Foundation will post public reports on how the funding is used, and subscribers will also receive reports via email.
