Activities taken-up last quarter:
Continuing the success of community outreach program , the Foundation conducted special community batches in the surrounding communities of Hyderabad and Rangareddy Districts of Telangana state. The orphanage homes, women welfare centers & Madrasas were the main focus. The majority of the students were from economically weaker sections of the society.
Students enrolled from Madrasas belonged to the lower strata of the society and never had an access to computers ever before. The students were very eager to learn digital literacy. The Foundation initiated trainings on basics of computers like Ms Paint, Ms Office and Internet etc. The designed curriculum helped them to learn technology in a short span of time.
Students took up the community issues as a project title and came up with wonderful solutions for the same using technology as a tool. The students shared their learning’s and findings to their peers. At the end of the course, they were very confident to use computers and were able to perform tasks very easily.
More than 120 students from orphanage homes who are deprived of their families were also the part of the trainings this quarter. These children participated very actively without missing any session and by the closure of the trainings they were very confident in working on computers / laptops. Team of resource persons from the Foundation motivated the students by gifting stationery’s like note books, pencils, erasers, rulers, pens, sketches, crayons, water colours, etc.
The Foundation with its vision to “Foster a bright future, empowers these children with technology is actually paving the way to comfort themselves with the required skills.
