Our Baby Patients

Workign with a Baby
Workign with a Baby

Hello everyone:

Hope you had great Easter Holidays! Today, let me tell you a little about the beautiful work we develop with our baby patients and their families: the Early Stimulation Program, which is the gateway to APAE. Through it, we welcome mothers the moment they receive the news or the assumption that their children have a disability.

As the occupational therapist Tatiana describes, "we are the professionals responsible for welcoming, calming anxieties, clarifying all doubts and, above all, bringing hopes to these mothers; we make them realize that their children are capable of learning and developing into independent and autonomous children, because only then will these mothers realize the importance of the therapies and engage in the treatment, following the guidelines that we give for the best development of their children".

In addition to specific stimulation therapies, work is also carried out with families through support groups and exchange of experiences among parents. Tatiana says: “I’m fulfilled when these groups born within APAE extend to life in society, when they get together on weekends to fraternize and have fun”. She goes on, saying “caring for these children, that from an early age need to learn to exercise and respond to the stimuli given is a great responsibility, but seeing them develop is an invaluable joy! We live day by day with moments of overcoming, determination and willpower and this brings us tremendous professional and personal satisfaction!”

The photos that I attached will speak for themselves.

We thank you for your support for our project and ask that you continue spreading the word about it!

Sincerely yours,
