Hello everyone!
The last three months have been very exciting for APAE! After all, in April the APAE Dance Group was able to qualify for the 14th Festival Nossa Arte, sponsored by the Federation of APAES aiming at the inclusion of people with disabilities through art. The presentation of the Group will be this month and the team is rehearsing hard to do well in the festival!
Another cause for celebration in April was APAE’s 45th anniversary, celebrated with the presence of government representatives and the local community and, obviously, all employees, the assisted and their families! A beautiful party crowning a whole history dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities!
In May, more celebrations: Mr Jerci Maccari, a local renowned artist, began painting over a panel of 36 m2 at the headquarters of APAE with the help of assisted. The work should be completed within three months, embellishing and brightening our inner space.
Finally in June, thanks to your generous donations, almost all the equipment that make up the Outdoor Gym Facilities was installed! We are programming the formal opening of the space for September, the month in which we celebrate the National Day of Fight for People with Disabilities.
