Help Save 1,000 Children from Malnutrition

For a child suffering from malnutrition, every day can become a struggle for strength, growth, and health. In Syria, children affected by the consequences of war and prolonged hardship remain especially vulnerable. Through this humanitarian response, BESME INSANI provided nutritional support to children experiencing malnutrition, helping them receive the nourishment they need to regain strength and continue growing.

The assistance focused on providing children with nutrient-rich support designed to address urgent nutritional needs. Families also received guidance and continued attention so that children could be monitored with care throughout the response.

Behind every child receiving support is a family carrying fear and uncertainty. Parents want to see their children healthy, active, and able to smile again. When a child begins to regain energy, eat better, and participate in daily life, that change becomes a powerful sign of hope for the entire family.

Our team treated every child with compassion and dignity, recognizing that recovery is not only about food. It is about giving children the opportunity to grow, learn, and dream about a future beyond the suffering they have experienced.

BESME INSANI implemented a nutrition support project benefiting 168 children suffering from malnutrition across northern Syria. The project aimed to reduce the health risks associated with inadequate nutrition while promoting healthy growth and improving children's overall wellbeing.

Many families continue to struggle to provide nutritious food for their children, resulting in increased rates of malnutrition, particularly among young children. In response, BESME INSANI delivered specialized nutritional supplements and therapeutic food to the most vulnerable children while ensuring continuous health monitoring throughout the intervention.

The project included nutritional assessments for every child, individualized nutritional support, and awareness sessions for mothers and caregivers on healthy feeding practices and the early identification of malnutrition symptoms. These activities aimed not only to treat current cases but also to help prevent future nutritional complications.

Field teams carefully supervised every phase of the project, from beneficiary selection to food distribution and follow-up assessments, ensuring transparency, fairness, and high-quality implementation.

The intervention improved the nutritional condition of beneficiary children, increased caregivers' awareness of proper nutrition, and eased the burden on vulnerable families struggling to meet their children's dietary needs.

Through its ongoing nutrition programs, BESME INSANI remains dedicated to protecting children's health, supporting their healthy development, and giving vulnerable children in Syria a better opportunity for a healthier and more hopeful future.
