On behalf of Fundación Leer we would like to thank all our donors for your generous donations.
We had closed the project and thanks to you we will provide 180 new books for the school children. The children are eager for new books that will help them to read more and have a better education.
School Director Miriam Elizabeth Bravo said to us: "It is raining in Chicoana but now that we will receive this donation of new books the sun has just came out. Children will be so grateful and I can describe my joy. It is so important for us to know that people all around the world is thinking of us and trying to let a better future for these in need children. Thank you again for all generosity!"
Your willingness to help children from School N° 4.432, El Mollar - Chicoana will make such an important difference in their lifes and their eductaion.

Donate today and make a difference in a rural scho

Rural school 229 at Chicoana
With your donation we’ll be able to build a Reading Corner with around 300 children´s books in a rural school located in Chicoana, Salta province, Argentina. By training and capacity teachers we’ll improve children’s literacy levels to help them be better prepared for the educational system.
In Chicoana, more than 50% of head households haven´t finished primary education. Poverty and exclusion are part of the environment where these children develop. Education and training are keys to break the cycle of poverty, as well as building social stability. To accomplish this task, Fundación Leer will train the teachers in the rural school of early literacy encouraging them and the families to get involved in their children's education.
We have received some funding from our donors but we still need more to fully fund and implement the project:

Keep going! Let's break poverty cycle in Chicoana

We are still aiming to raise funds to build a Reading Corner with 300 children´s books at the school located in Salta province, Argentina.
The project will benefit 70 at risk children and their families. 10 teachers and community leaders will be trained. The children and their families live in extreme poverty in a region with one of the lowest education levels of the country.
We have received some funding from our donors but we still need more to fully fund and implement the project:
Please help children at Chicoana in Salta. Let´s give them a chance to break the poverty cycle.
