Through FAME’s strategic partnerships with community centers and schools, our STEMulate™ Change Program is transforming today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders through STEM education.
FAME is pleased to report about our new, highly successful partnership with the Police Athletic League of Delaware! Through our outreach program, STEMulate™ Change, FAME is serving at-risk youth in all four P.A.L. community centers in northern Delaware. Classrooms of kids are being engaged in hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education three days a week after school, as a result of this effective partnership.
FAME has developed exciting new curricula to go along with our new partnership, integrating computer technology and fun learning activities.
FAME teachers have already developed a sense of community with the youth and staff at P.A.L. The students are truly excited about participating in each STEM lesson. STEMulate™ Change utilizes a problem-based approach, with students exploring STEM learning in individual and team projects.
This successful partnership has led to planning summer and fall programming at all four P.A.L. locations. The program will also be operated at many other community centers and schools this summer, to STEMulate Change for more at-risk youth!
National Recognition! After an extensive vetting process by the independent evaluation firm, WestEd, STEMulate™ Change has been endorsed by Change the Equation, a leading national resource for STEM education. STEMulate™ Change successfully met rigorous Design Principles and was accepted into Change the Equation’s elite program database, STEMworks. Change the Equation recognized STEMulate™ Change as one of the nation’s most promising STEM learning programs and as having the strong potential to become one of the nation’s most effective STEM education programs.
