FAME Proud: Words of FAME students

"In my future, I hope to be an Engineer.  I feel that FAME can help me get there."

"I think that whoever wants to learn should come to this program… it is great!"

"This is one of the most helpful programs I have joined ever. The math an science courses are by far the most in depth classes I have experienced."

"In my future, I hope to be an Engineer.  I feel that FAME can help me get there."

"The FAME teachers make learning fun, so I want to come back every day to learn new things."

"My appreciation for science, technology, engineering and math have expanded. I appreciate all of the teachers and even parents who have helped to strengthen this program to what it is today."

"I have really been ahead of the game in school thanks to FAME."

Robotics: Inspiring the next generation of engineers

FAME, Inc. is the lead agency for Delaware's Annual Robotics Day.  The purpose of Robotics Day, in celebration of National Robotics Week, is to highlight the growing importance of robotics in a wide variety of application areas and to emphasize its ability to inspire students while building their interest in technology and innovation.  FAME is excited to join other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) organizations across the nation in celebrating robotics and fostering a pipeline to college and/or STEM careers.  The event will be held at Barclays Bank in Wilmington, DE from 9am to 1pm. We will commence with a panel discussion followed by our indoor "Robotics Block party."  FAME, Inc.'s "FAME-US" FIRST® Tech Challenge Robotics team will be making a special demonstration during the panel discussion to highlight their achievements through the design and programming of their robot.

Delaware's 4th Annual Robotics Day is free and open to the public. We welcomed over 300 attendees last year and expect a larger crowd this year.

FAME's Outreach Initiative: STEMulate Change

Forum to Advance Minorities in Engineering, Inc.’s (FAME, Inc.) outreach initiative, STEMulate™ Change, was accepted into the Change the Equation™ STEMworks database as a promising STEM learning program model that meets a “high bar for effectiveness.”

Change the Equation, a nonprofit, non-partisan partnership of CEOs, works at the intersection of business and education to ensure that all students are STEM literate by collaborating with schools, communities, and states to adopt and implement excellent STEM policies and programs.

STEMworks showcases the nation’s leading STEM education programs that make a real impact on students. Every STEM program accepted into STEMworks meets a high bar for excellence and rigor.  Business leaders, funders and STEM advocates from across the nation use STEMworks to find proven and highly-scalable STEM education programs to help them maximize their impact on STEM education.

The STEMulate™ Change model is one of very few programs to receive this recognition.
