Meet the new love is respect! This past October, we released love is respect’s new logo. Soon after that release, the National Domestic Violence Hotline (The Hotline) and love is respect transitioned to fresh new websites, providing a more streamlined way for users to learn more about relationship abuse.
love is respect’s new logo is inspired by the journey we see every day. You may learn about what's unhealthy about your own relationship, and then you might tell a friend. That friend might tell another friend ... and so on. Learning about healthy relationships is a process that never ends, and continues to grow and evolve – just like a circle.
In addition to this already exciting news, Bumble announced a multi-year partnership in response to the continued prevalence in unhealthy and abusive relationships. The popular app will be supporting love is respect that engages, educates, and empowers young people to prevent and end abusive relationships. Bumble made its first multi-year pledge as the presenting sponsor of love is respect in October 2020.
Over the course of five years, Bumble has changed the narrative around women making the first move in their relationships – yet, across the U.S., one in four women and one in seven men have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. For more information about this partnership, read the press release here.
“Bumble envisions a world free of misogyny, where all relationships are healthy, equitable, and empowering,” said Cybil Zhang, Bumble’s Strategy and Social Impact Associate Director. “Bumble is proud to support a crucial nonprofit like The Hotline, which is also based in our shared hometown of Austin, Texas. Through this sponsorship, we hope to demonstrate our continued commitment to creating healthy relationships on our platform and in our communities.”
Thank you for your continued support of love is respect!
