Thanks to our amazing supporters, loveisrespect continues to expand its outreach efforts and dynamic content about healthy relationships to better educate, engage and empower people affected by relationship abuse. Recently, loveisrespect launched some exciting new initiatives, described below.

In May 2017, loveisrespect formed the National Youth Council, made up of 12 young people between the ages of 13-26, who will work with loveisrespect to create youth content for the website, social media messaging/campaigns and promote awareness for loveisrespect across the country.

A few months ago, loveisrespect launched the What's Love Got to Do With It? video series as a way to engage young adults to talk about various relationship behaviors. There will be additional videos targeting college-age youth to expand the loveisrespect campus section. So far it has been successful across social media. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrBRYXXi5To

The Ask an Advocate series is a fun, engaging way to include college-age content the loveisrespect website and across social media channels. The audience is college age (18-26) youth that may or may not have awareness of loveisrespect. Youth can submit questions/scenarios via social media channels to be answered by one of the advocates on the panel.  http://www.loveisrespect.org/on-campus/ask-an-advocate/

In August 2017, ten youth from rural communities across the country traveled to Austin for the loveisrespect Youth Institute to receive training on providing technical support to organizations in rural areas, where resources are few. The participants were between the ages of 18-26 and now will be able to represent loveisrespect if organizations need youth representatives for media interviews or help with engaging youth in campaigns and/or projects.

Your support continues to help reach thousands of youth and adults affected by abuse, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Thank you!
