Progress Report
By Godfrey Sseremba | Project Leader
During this pandemic period of Covid 19, Sprout Care Foundation has continued to support the vulnerable households. This period has been characterised by increased food prices, domestic violence, child abuse and limited access to medical treatment.
With the support from our generous donor the organisation has ensured that the targeted family is supported in the crisis of the ongoing lock down which is still on going after a period of three months.
The children were protected from abuse, supported to access medical treatment and food.
Most supported families income are no more since the lock down started on 20th March. Due to the continued support protection of three children and one adult from poor feeding related illnesses were minimized, child abuse as result of a parent overwhelmed by family demand and failure to provide to family.
On addition the project staff were facilitated to provide psychosocial and trauma counseling for emotional and spiritual support. It is evident that the supported family was emotionally and physically catered for. We are grateful to our donor for the continued support during this challenging perion of Covid 19.
