4 Adorable Puppies

Hello Las Lomas supporters!
I'm happy to report that because of you, we were able to save four precious puppies. They went to a foster home. We got all of their shots, worming, and micro chips done. All but one has already been adopted and the others are thriving in their new homes. The fourth one was adopted but was recently returned because their other dog wasn't accepting a new puppy. I'm confident he will find his forever home very soon.
We have another food truck coming soon and could use some help with that. We have an opportunity to get enough to last us for two or three months!
Thank you all for your support. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts! Together, we are making a difference in the lives of many animals!

Dexter - Emergency call for a dog who was hit by a car

Hello Las Lomas Supporters
We received a call about a dog who was hit by a car and apparently drug. She only had $50 and no transportation. We sent a volunteer to go pick him up and take him to our vet.
It looks like he got caught on the underpinning and his skin was ripped off from side to side, down to the muscle. Thankfully there were no injuries to his belly area and it appears all of his organs are fine.
The dog was micro chipped. We contacted the owner who said they gave the dog away. We managed to track down the people the dog was given to and they said he ran away 3 days ago and they were not interested. He was surrendered to us.
The vet immediately took him in to surgery. He has 4 drain tubes that will come out in a week and stitches that will come out in 2 weeks. He is also on antibiotics and pain relievers. We got all of his shots updated as well since we have no prior history.
Please keep Dexter in your prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.

UHaul and Dog Food

Hello Las Lomas supporters!
Our biggest expense, next to vet costs, is dog food. Thanks to your help, we were able to rent a truck and get nearly 7,000# of food! This is a good food, made by Nutro. We got it for 10 cents a pound. It cost us $700 for the food and $160 for the truck. We are already lined up to get another load in June. This is really a tremendous weight lifted off our shoulders so if you can, please help us to do this again.
